Jarra Central chief, 5 others granted bail

Bakary Dampha, the chief of Jarra CentralDistrict in the Lower River Region and five other persons who were over the weekend arrested and detained at the Mansakonko Police Station, have been released on police bail, Daily Observer has confirmed.

Darboe; Modou Konteh and Abdou Colley, staff of Free From Hunger Campaign
(FFHC); and Momodou Wurry, a shopkeeper in Jappineh.
The six are alleged to have sold WFP rice meant for the farming communities in Jarra Central. When contacted, Omar Jawo, thehead ofthe police in LRR confirmed the development, saying the six men are to report to the police on daily basis.
