Journalist trial continues again today

The trial of seven journalists Ebrima Sawaneh, Pap Saine, Sarata Jabbi-Dibba, Pa Modou Faal, Abubacarr Saidykhan, Sam Sarr and Bai Emil Touray who are standing trial on charges ranging from conspiracy to commit criminal defamation continued.

On Tuesday July 21, 2009 before justice Joseph Wowo the case was called, DPP Richard Chenge informed the court that the state was ready to close its case against the accused persons on Tuesday, but he intends to call another prosecution witness (PW2) whom he revealed is a security officer.

The presiding judge, justice Joseph Wowo then rose and proceeded to the chambers for the hearing of the matter.  the hearing of the matter, the case was adjourned to today for continuation.
