The Gambia’s drink bottling giant, Julbrew on Monday presented 15 Youki tricycles to its distributors across the country, during a colourful presentation ceremony held at its premises in Kanifing.

This development, which was hailed by both the officials and the beneficiaries, is expected to enhance the day-to-day business activities of the distributors, especially in enabling them to expand their trade activities in their respective areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, the marketing manager of Banjul Breweries, Borri Darboe, explained that the tricycles given to the distributors are meant to reward them for their sincere services rendered to the Company.

While acknowledging the efforts and commitment of the distributors, Darboe spoke at length about the usefulness of the products of the Company in the society. He explained that their products, especially the Youki drinks can be used in ceremonies, weddings and other related programs to satisfy the needs of the people.

Due to the diligent services it has been rendering in the manufacturing industry, Darboe informed the gathering that the Company has been awarded Manufacturer of the Year by the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) during its recent award dinner.

He then applauded the production, engineering, and sales departments of the Company for the zeal and enthusiasm they attached to the Job. “I believe with your ability we will grow from strength to Strength,” he concluded.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Company’s finance director, Fatou Senyang Merrgam, explained that the tricycles are meant to facilitate transportation and enhance the distribution of its products across the country.

She informed that earlier this year, they engaged three new distributors and business partners, noting that each shop has a sales driver which makes the fluency of business easy and accessible.

She disclosed that the tricycles given away to the distributors free of charge are worth more than a million dalasi, thus adding that this is just the beginning of what they intend to do.

The keys to the tricycles were presented to the 15 distributors by the officials of the Company at the end of the ceremony.
