KAC implement projects in CRR North

The Kuntaur Area Council recently completed the construction of three projects in the Central River Region North.

The council also contributed partly towards the construction of Panchang Health Post. The projects implemented by the council were; waiting shed at Lamin Koto, Culvert at Jimbala and Kaur Abatuarr house.  The construction of these projects worth one hundred and fifty thousand dalasis.

Alhagie Ganyie Touray, the governor of the Central River Region, commended the council for their hard work. He said the sub-projects will go a long way in improving the socio- economic development of the communities in CRR north. He urged them to utilise the facilities wisely and for its proper up keep.

The Chairman of the Kuntaur Area Council, Mamat Mbye said the culvert at Jimbala will ease the difficulties   in access to road net work which has been a problem in the area. He noted that health is one of the top priorities of President Jammeh and contributing towards the construction of a health post will improve the health status of the most vulnerable groups' women and children.

Kebba AM Drammeh, the chief executive officer of the Kuntaur Area Council, called on the people of the area to pay their rates and taxes to enable council to embark on more development projects. He said huge amount of rate and taxes is still not paid.
