The Kanifing Municipality on Tuesday held a consultative meeting with their wrestling finalists at the KMC Chambers. The meeting was meant to discuss some pending issues revolving around their participation in the upcoming National Wrestling Championship .

In his remarks, the lord mayor of the Kanifing Municipality, Yankuba Colley applauded the efforts of the wrestlers and the organising committee for the successful completion of the selection process of the wrestlers that will represent the Municipality at the games. “KMC is second to none and the first position will not be compromised in the forthcoming National Championship,” he said, while noting that wrestling is a vital sport and culture.

Musa P Manneh, the sports manager of KMC; and the KM sports coordinator, Mariama Sallah also spoke at the meeting, while the vote of thanks was delivered by the grand combat winner, Mam Corr, who also thanked his fellow wrestlers and the Council for the trust bestowed in them. He assured the Council of a KM victory in the National Championship.
