Gambian left-back Pa Saikou Kujabi's move from Austrian Bundesliga club SV Reid to German second tier side FSV Frankfurt is not completely done yet, Observer Sports has reliably gathered.
The FSV Frankfurt Football Club have announced this week that the 22-year-old former Banjul Hawks player has signed with them a one-year contract with an option to extend. The 2nd Bundesliga side went ahead to reveal that the acquisition of the combative defender, who has been handed a number 15 shirt, will undoubtedly add strength to their defense line. However, a recent reports emanating from the Austrian media have it that Kujabi's deal is not completed since FSV Frankfurt are expected to meet some financial obligations to the Austrian club. SV Reid confirmed the contract of the Gambian has run out making him a free player, but the money-conscious club added that their German counterparts must pay an education compensation fee of about 200,000 euros (two hundred thousand euros), which is equivalent to about D7,200,000 (seven million two hundred thousand dalasis). FSV Frankfurt are yet to respond to Reid's demand, albeit Reid manager, Stefan Reiter, was quoted saying: "Indeed, the contract of the Gambian has run out. However, an education compensation of about 200,000 euros would be entitled to us. Now I wait once for the phone call from Frankfurt. We will get money indeed". Kujabi's bound club, FSV Frankfurt, is a German football club based in the Bornheim district of Frankfurt, Hesse and founded in 1899. The club plays in the shadow of larger and much more successful Eintracht Frankfurt, but have recently returned to second tier football. Author: By Nanama keita
