Late Pa Modou Sarr Memorial Tourney to begin soon

The 8th edition of the Late Pa Modou Sarr Memorial Basketball Tournament will start soon, reports reaching Observer Sports revealed.It would be recalled that the Late Pa Modou Sarr died on 9th February 2004 in a car accident just after playing a basketball game in Texas in the USA.


Meanwhile, as part of events marking the 8th edition of the memorial tourney, there will be a recitation of the Holy Quran today, Thursday 9 February 2012 at his Family House in Kotu. There will be a Memorial Tournament as usual at the Serrekunda West Basketball Lawn along Kairaba Avenue. It would also be recalled that Wallidan and YMCA Basketball teams were the finalists during the last (7th edition) of the memorial tournament with Wallidan emerging victorious. As usual, interested teams are invited to register and participate in the tournament.
