Lower Nuimi hails President Jammeh for honoring nativeTuesday, July 21, 2009 The people of Ndoungu Kebbeh in North Bank Region recently celebrated the national order conferred on Alhagie Modou Faye of Ndoungu Kebbeh by the president, Sheikh Professor Dr. Yahya Jammeh, in recognition of his humanitarian services to the APRC party. At a colourful ceremony held in Ndoungu Kebbeh NBR, the community recited the Holy Quran to seek for God's blessing and protection for the president and the nation. Deputing for the goverrnor, Momodou Marr, the deputy governor, thanked the president for the award and noted that it would sere as a testimony for others to redouble their efforts in the cause of national development. He said Alhagie Momodou Faye is among the outstanding figures who help in mobilizing and promoting the principles of APRC at the grass roots level. He urged the people of Lower Nuimi to emulate the good work that Faye has been doing in raising the flag of the party. Alhagie Tobora Manneh of Barra and Hon. Mam Cherno Jallow, National Assembly member for Upper Nuimi, hailed Modou Faye for his work towards the advancement of the party. Speaking at the occasion, Alh Modou Faye thanked the president and government for the award. Faye applauded the people of Lower Nuimi for their steadfastness and understanding. He used the opportunity to thank the president for his numerous development projects in the North Bank Region, citing the good road network, health facilities, and the Rural Electrification Project, among others.
