Magistrate slams Jalamba Alkalo

africa » gambia » brikama
Monday, January 19, 2009
Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates Court has taken the Alkalo of Jalamba to task for selling one plot of land to three different people which resulted in all three rushing to the court to resolve the matter.

Speaking yesterday, Magistrate Jammeh said he has great respect for the Alkalo but not withstanding this, the Alkalo has done something that a responsible person should not do. He added that the court would not send him (the Alkalo) to jail but he has already made a poor record for himself.
