Major boost for farmers in Koli-kunda

Koli-Kunda Village Department Committee in Sami District, Central River Region north, last Thursday distributed sixty-one seeder machines, sign-hoes, and farming inputs and implements worth over two hundred thousand dalasis,  among thirty-one compounds in  Koli-kunda.

This is a sub-project under the Community Driven Development Project (CDDP). The chairman of the VDC, Amadou Nyang, expressed appreciation towards the project noting that this will go a long way in improving their production and productivity. He further stated that the project will not only improve their production and productivity, but will also increase their income. He reiterated the community's readiness to do everything possible for the sustainability of the project. He said the project was initiated by them, adding  that the project will enable them  effectively tackle some of the priority issues affecting the rural people.

The Akalo of the village, Abdoulie Dem, assured the project coordinating team that the farm inputs and implements will be put in good use. He commended the donors for their support in the fight against poverty in the rural community. Other speakers included the VDC secretary general, Sarjo Suwareh
