Man convicted for witchcraft and fortune tellingThursday, July 02, 2009 The Kanifing Magistrates Court, presided over by Magistrate Sainabou Wadda-Ceesay, on Wednesday, convicted and sentenced one Sheirff Colley to 3 months imprisonment (suspended sentence). He was found guilty of the charges of witch craft and fortune telling. After narrating the facts before the court by the State prosecutor, Yusuph Abdou Rahman, the convict admitted everything except knowing one Jainaba Jallow. Before sentencing the convict, in his mitigation plea, he told the court that he is the breadwinner of his family and that he has two wives with four children.
