One Tahyou Brown, a Nigerian national and an air condition technician on Wednesday morning in Kanifing Souh cut his private part and attempted to kill one Yassin Jallow, his girl friend, said to be a native of Bakau.

The two are said to have been staying together for nearly six to seven years and are blessed with an 18-month-old baby girl. Sources told the Daily Observer that the incident happened during a fight between the two at their residence.

“Shortly after the fight, the Nigerian man used a knife and sliced the face and the body of his girlfriend and finally stabbed her on several parts of her body. He later turned to himself and cut his private part and stabbed himself. He finally attempted to kill himself by setting fire on his apartment, which eventually turned ablaze until the Fire and Rescue Services were called to put off the fire,” the source told this paper.

The source further revealed that the two are sharing the apartment with Magnificent Joe, a popular musician who sustained injuries when he tried to calm the situation. The source also revealed that Brown and Yassin are currently hospitalised at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) and both are said to be in critical condition. Many people converged on the scene of the incident, including the police.
