Chidrim David Awu, a Nigerian, was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Sagarr Jahateh of the Kanifing Magistrates Court for attempted kidnapping.

According to the particulars of the offense, Chidrim David Awu, on December 5 2008, at Limba Guest House in Bakau New Town attempted to kidnap one Yankuba Sawanneh. He however, denies the charge.

Magistrate Sagarr Jahateh granted him bail in the sum of D5000 with one Gambian surety. The case was adjourned to January 22. Police Prosecutor 319 Job stood in for the IGP.
