Man docked for indecent assault

One Musa Konne, an Ivorian, on Thursday, appeared before the Kanifing Magistrates Court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake, charged with the indecent assault of an 8-year old girl (name withheld).

According to particulars of the offence, the accused, in the month of January 2009, at Tallinding, unlawfully and indecently assaulted the 8-year old girl by putting his finger in her private part.

When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded not guilty. The senior magistrate gave orders for the accused to be kept in custody. Prosecutor 358 E Sarr stood in for the IGP.
