Man in court for assaulting policeman

One Omar Ebrima Gassama, was on Tuesday, arraigned before Magistrate Lamin George, of the Bundung Magistrates Court for threatening to commit violent acts and for assaulting a police officer.  

According to the particulars of offence, on August 20th, 2009 at Bakoteh Layout, the accused threatened to kill one Bakary Jadama with a cutlass. He was also said to have, on the same day and place, assaulted one Ebrima Camara, a police officer.

He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of D7,000 or one Gambian surety. The case was adjourned to 16 September, 2009.  First Class 13371 Sanneh stood in for the IGP.
