One Muhammed Sohna, on Wednesday, appeared before Magistrate B Mahoney of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, charged with threatening violence contrary to section 84(A) of the Criminal Code Cap 10 Volume 3.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused on the 15th of June 2009, in Dippakunda, intended to intimidate, insult and annoy one Adama Sohna, by threatening to kill him with a pestle. When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded not guilty. The presiding magistrate granted him bail in the sum of D5,000 with one Gambian surety. Constable First Class 525 Jawo appeared for the IGP.
