Man in trouble over 'stolen goat'

Ebrima Kano, an supposed Ghanaian citizen, was on Wednesday brought before Abdoulie Mbake, the senior magistrate of the Kanifing Magistrates Court charged with stealing.

According to the particulars of the offense, Ebrima Kano on the 11th of January 2009 stole a goat valued at D2000 from one Isatou Jawara of Kanifing South. When the charge sheet was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.

The presiding magistrate at that juncture granted him bail in the sum of D2,500 with one Gambian surety. The case was adjourned to 29th of January 2009.
