Marina International School holds graduation

Africa » Gambia
Monday, July 02, 2012

Marina International High School on Friday held its graduation ceremony at the school hall in Bakau Newtown. Speaking at the occasion, Sira Wally Ndow-Njai, the chairperson, said this is the end of a long journey where responsibilities begin and a milestone for every grandaund; pointing out that it is good conduct, progress and confidence that lead students to this important day.

She explained that education is one of the most important keys to success, which could be achieved through dedication and hard work in school. Sira thanked parents for their efforts and support that led their children reach this day.

Musa O. Sanneh, the outgoing head boy of the school gave a valedictory message. He said learning is not possible without good attitude; that hard work and good conduct with respect will lead to everlasting success in life. He reiterated that continuous hard work would earn the graduating students personal development, “which is the real foundation of progress”.

Sanneh therefore called on the new high school leavers to be evermore committed to attaining their respective goals. The guest speaker, Bozory Tavangar encouraged the class of 2012 to be mindful and to remain hard working.
