Alieu Darboe, secretary general of the Misira Ward Development Association has said that his ward is undergoing a massive transformation with the rehabilitation of its roads and repairing of streetlights. Darboe informed the Daily Observer that over 95% of the faulty street-lights in his ward have been repaired.

Darboe made these revelations during an interview with the Daily Observer at the Observer premises in Kanifing. According to him, the Misira Ward Development Association is proud to associate itself with the principles of the MDGs and also to partner with local government authorities, donor agencies, and the media.

On behalf of the executive members of the association, Darboe appealed for assistance to rehabilitate the roads in the ward. He also spoke at length about their plans to implement anti-malarial, educational, agricultural and poverty eradication projects.
