Africa » Gambia
Thursday, September 29, 2011
M.J hair Dressing, Express Beauty Saloon and Skills Training Centre in Brikama Nyambai, Kombo Central District of the West Coast Region Saturday embarked on a massive cleaning exercise in Kanilai in the Foni Kansala District of the same region.

Speaking at the exercise, Mariama Jallow, the proprietor of the Skills Training Centre and Saloon, expressed delight at the initiative. She used the opportunity to highlight President Jammeh’s gesture to her Skills Training Centre and Saloon, while thanking him for his foresight and support for young people of the country. She also noted that the president is making huge contribution towards girls’ education and skills training in the country. She therefore urged Gambians to continue praying for him [the president].

Jallow assured that the cleaning exercise in Kanilai will be a continuous initiative, adding that they are ready to work relentlessly in order to compliment the efforts of the Gambian leader. She urged the youths to be engaged in skills training which will have a positive impact on their lives. She then thanked the president for his financial support to her skills training centre and saloon and her students, ex-students and her entire administrative staff for participating in the exercise.
