MK International boss calls on President Jammeh

The Gambian leader, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, yesterday afternoon received in audience Dr Hae Jung Jung, founder and president of MK International, a world-wide renowned investment firm based in Seoul, South  Korea.

Dr Hae was at State House to make a power point presentation on the master plan of the proposed multi million dollar Gambia International Centre (GIC) project. In the presentation, Dr Hae revealed that this significant undertaking, on completion, will have a modern international financial centre and international convention center, amongst others.

The international financial center, accordingly, will accommodate 53 presidential suits, a 15-floor four-star business hotel, a shopping mall, residential and commercial facilities, amongst others. The International Convention center, which overlooks the sea is set to have a modern conference hall of international standard, and it will also have Bungalows, a modern hotel with 268 rooms, an air space for private jets, a club house, amongst a host of other recreational facilities.

This laudable investment accordingly,is established around the traffic lights, along Berthil Harding Highway, down to the coastal road. It can be recalled that Dr Hae, at the invitation of The Gambian leader to explored business opportunities in the country, met the president at State House, last November, when he first made a power point presentation on  diverse areas of his company's investment.

At that meeting, Dr Hae revealed his company's willingness to invest in the country on areas such as housing development and industrialisation. The MK International Company, which has been in operation since 1981, is a renowned investment firm engaged in diverse areas of investment such as industrial engineering for small and medium scale projects, manufacturing activities, international trading on general import and export, among others.

The company is operating in 38 countries the world over, 13 of which are in Africa. Dr Hae was accompanied to State House by two of his highly professional technicians.
