MMK donates to Jakoi Paima Nursery School

Africa » Gambia
Tuesday, September 15, 2009
Mbee Makoyi Kafoo (MMK) Gambia- Finland Association,  a community based organisation in Busumbala, on Friday donated school materials to Jakoi Paima Nursery School in Foni.

The donated items included: books, pens and drawing materials. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Marie Martikainen, the organisation's secretary, said MMK's objective is to help needy people in The Gambia particularly women and children. "I am happy to give this small gift to your school on behalf of my organisation and I believe it will help the school a lot," she said.

For his part, Mansaneh Colley, the proprietor of the school applauded the organisation for considering his school, noting that the gift is a big thing to them. According to him, the school has been in existence for the past 4 years but this organisation is the only one that visited them.
