On this auspicious occasion of the 15th anniversary of the July 22nd revolution in The Gambia under Your Excellency's wise leadership since day one, I am heartily joined by my able staff in the embassy in Paris, our respective families, the Gambian Honorary consuls / Consul Generals and The Gambian communities in France and the other countries under my jurisdiction, to extend hearty congratulations to Your Excellency, the first family, the APRC party, the government and people of The Gambia.

This 15 anniversary indeed calls for celebrations and thanksgiving to our maker for all His invaluable considerations since the birth of the revolution which has brought enormous progress and development in all sectors under your able leadership. This has been exemplary and worthy of emulation. Now that you have set the pace and charted the way forward for all Gambians to follow, we continue to count on Your Excellency and wish to pledge our full support to you in the realisation of the objectives of the vision 2020 and the Millennium Development Goals and especially your drive towards transforming The Gambia into a silicon valley.

The Gambia under your wise leadership continues to serve as a safe haven/sanctuary to many nationals  from the African continent at large owing to her religions tolerance, peace, political and socio -economic stability.  You have brought a lot of awareness and opportunities to The Gambian people irrespective of colour, sex, tribe or religion and you continue to ensure that all your diplomatic and consular representatives abroad base The Gambia's foreign policy on its national interest.

The Gambia's visibility and participation in international world affairs has been heightened since the last fifteen years vis-a-vis the vigorous enforcement and implication at home of th new socio-economic development priority as elaborated in the vision 2020 amongst others. All these accomplishments are a credit to Your Excellency's wise leadership.

Together with all Gambians, friends of The Gambia and well wishers we pray that Almighty Allah the most magnificent and merciful continues to shower his richest blessing on Your Excellency and the first family and endows you with the strength and wisdom and will lead The Gambia for another fifteen years.

Please accept Your Excellency the assurances of my highest consideration.

Your good care, love to The Gambian people and women in particular have been clearly demonstrated by your untiring efforts to ensure that we are self sufficient in our necessities. For instance, you have put in place structures to empower women, with the provision of free scholarship for the girls' across the country and abroad at your expense.

With regards to agriculture, you have been supporting both male and female farmers who have different initiatives, especially with your back-to-the-land call.  You provided tractors, seeds, fertilizers, animal husbandry, and poultry farming to farmers under various schemes to help boost productivity.  In the area of infrastructural  development, you have built highways and roads and are still ongoing ones.  You have put in place streetlights in the Banjul-Westfield highway and around the Greater Banjul Area. In the area of sports, you have boosted the morals of our dear children by providing adequate finances for them.

Your Excellency, Gambian women will and shall hail you and your excellent governance. The appointment of women into government positions (vice president, speaker of the National Assembly, secretaries of state and senior government officials etc) which has undoubtedly put Gambian women at the intentional limelight and boost their morals is certainly a worthy justification of the love, trust, confident and support that you have accord the female folk of The Gambia.  Gambian women are proud of you.

May Allah continue to give you good health, strength and the ability to realised your dreams for our dear motherland and the entire African continent.
Aji Fatou Sallah, APRC National Women mobiliser
