The president, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh continues to receive more congratulatory messages from across the world on the occasion of the 16th Anniversary of the July 22nd Revolution.

The messages?came from Banta Tunkara, Consul of The Gambia in Togo, Kebba S. Touray, Gambia's ambassador to Spain, Binta Jobe, director general of GTA and Roger A. Hainer, chairman of the Board of Directors of Buried Hill Energy.

The messages read:
The Honourable Consul of The Gambia in Lome, Togo,  Mr Banta Tunkara wish to express his full respect and high esteem to your Excellency for all the great efforts you and your government are doing in our country.The 22nd July celebration has already entered into Gambia history, a day Gambia will never forget. I therefore pray Allah Almighty to continue helping and bless your Excellency to make our country an example in Africa.

Also will the voice of the entire Gambian community here in Togo, we all wish you Excellent celebration and by doing so, you have with you our well wishing hearts, full of prayer that God bless you more and more. Finally Your Excellency, I want to thank you personally and I have strong believed that God will bless you more again, and also beg to remain Excellence.

Your Excellency, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the July 22nd revolution, please allow me on behalf of my family, the staff of the Gambia Embassy in Madrid, all the Gambian living in Spain, Italy, Malta and Greece and indeed on my own behalf, to extend to you, your Government and indeed the entire people of the Gambia congratulations and well wishes on this great historic day.

As we take stock of the past sixteen years, one can evidently see that the Gambia, under your visionary leadership has registered remarkable development in key sectors such as Health, Education, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Peace & Security Justice, International Relations, and Youth/Women Empowerment. This has made us proud and dignified as a people and to this end I join the whole Nation in expressing our debt of gratitude to you and your Government.

This is clearly indicative of the high level recognition of the excellent relationship that exists between the GTA and the Gambia Armed Forces, which is poised to grow from strength to strength.

In celebration of the sixteenth anniversary on the July 22nd Revolution, I would like to pass on my congratulation, and those of all the staff of Buried Hill, to Your Excellency.

I was honored to have received an invitation to join the celebrations this week in The Gambia, and was truly disappointed that other prior commitments meant that I could not attend this year. Please however accept my very best wishes for the celebrations on the 22nd which I know all the Gambia will embrace with great joy and enthusiasm. would also like to wish you, your government, and all the people of The Gambia peace and prosperity for the future. May Allah continue to protect and guide you and the entire people of the Gambia for many years to come.
