More messages for the president of the republic, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh continue to be received at State House in Banjul.

The latest messages to arrive touched on various issues such as congratulations on the July 22nd anniversary, acknowledgement of his achievements and condolences on the death of the president's cousin, Momodou Lamin Jammeh. The messages came from such personalities as the speaker of the National Assembly, Elizabeth YF Renner, the National Commission for UNESCO,   Governor Lamin Sanneh of WR, Director General of Gamworks, Hon. Seedy SK Njie amongst others.

Letter of Condolence
Your Excellency, I have learnt with sadness the untimely demise of your cousin, the late Momodou Lamin Jammeh, which sad event occurred on Sunday, 2nd August 2009.

On behalf of both sides of the National Assembly, the staff and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to extend to you, the family of the late Mr Momodou Lamin Jammeh and the entire Jammeh family, our heartfelt condolences.

I pray that Allah, in His infinite grace and mercy, grant Your Excellency the strength and fortitude to bear the loss of your dear beloved cousin.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.  Amen.

The governor, Western Region, National Assembly members, chiefs and Ward Councilors write to felicitate His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh on the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of the July 22nd take over.

The entire region congratulates and prays for your long life as well as wish you to complete all your visionary objectives. This takeover came at a time when The Gambia was in dire need for a change.

We wish to thank you for all the major projects completed within the period. The Kombo Coastal Road has not only eased transportation and communication but also improved the Socio-Economic Development, Food Security and reduced poverty as well as fatal accidents. The West Field Sukuta Road is also most welcome.

His Excellency Sir, we thank you most sincerely for your Community Development Driven Project (CDDP), Gambia Agricultural Lowland Development Project - GADELP, Baby Mariama and Baby Muhammed Scholarship Package, the Rural Electrification Project and the Water Project, which have all improved our livelihood.

The receipt of four tractors for the Green Boys and a vehicle for the paramount chief all demonstrates your magnanimity and generosity towards a better future.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the July 22nd revolution, I am honoured and privileged to convey, on behalf of the Gamworks Board of Directors, management and staff and on my own behalf, our sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency, the president, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, the government and the entire Gambian populace.

July 22 is significant in our historical calendar as it marked the beginning of The Gambia's unprecedented and accelerated social- economic development.  Under His Excellency, the president's visionary and able leadership, The Gambia has recorded remarkable developments in all sectors most specially in areas that impact directly on the lives of a majority of Gambians.  I wish to take this opportunity, to commend His Excellency, the president, for all these achievements and for transforming our The Gambia into a modern country.

Your Excellency, it is a moment of joy, pride and reflection as well time for thanks-giving, marking the 15th anniversary of a revolution which ushered in rapid socio-economic developments in all walks of life.  

July 22nd 1994 was the year of Gambia's salvation.  Salvation in a manner that the weak were empowered, the poor enriched, the ignorant educated, the hungry fed, the sick cured, those infected and affected were no longer discriminated of the world deadliest diseases: HIV/Aids, the old cared for and the working-class encouraged.  All this ocean of hope has been the result of Your Excellency's visionary, missionary and revolutionary tendency.

Mr. President, all Gambians and non-Gambians individually and collectively are testimony of the gigantic strides this revolution brought. You are a beacon of hope, pride and a source of inspiration for the twenty-first century and our generation and generations yet unborn. This day has impacted a lot in the area of economic advancement, social development, political freedom, educational adjustment, military institutional modernisation.  Above all I mean, The Gambia has been modernised and standardised.

Moreover, in the field of health, your Excellency's humanitarian participation deserves recognition and congratulation. Free medical attendance to patients is the last and the highest a person can expect from a person.  And Your Excellency as the President of the republic of The Gambia do it just out of kindness. We have also witnessed the on-going free maternal healthcare system; we see every now and then sophisticated modern medical equipment coming into our beloved country.  Mr. President, your determination to treat and cure major illnesses is a clear testimony of your personal regard for and mercy on humanity.

Besides, in the area of youth empowerment, lots of achievements have been registered. The creation of the National Youth Council under your leadership has created numerous empowerment opportunities for youth in this country. It also does encourage youths to be more pro-active in partaking in nation building ventures.  The appointment of young people to top position is a selfless and a wise move in the right direction and this would avail them the opportunity to be conversant with governance and its challenges.

Time and again, for 15 years now, women of this country under your leadership are made equal to men. Women are no longer objects of the kitchen but people to be partners in development. The July 22nd revolution, has freed women of this country from several unacceptable traditional vices, such as forced marriage, denial of higher education, etc.  But with your coming, freedom, proper love, respect and happiness women now enjoy.

In the same vein, Your Excellency Sheikh Professor Dr Alhaji Yahya AJJ Jammeh, I am pleased to extend my congratulations to you and your entire cabinet on the day of the July 22nd 15th anniversary celebrationd.  I pray to the Almighty God to continue to shower his blessing on you and the entire Gambian populates.

As a friend of The Gambia in Berlin, Germany I am deeply impressed with the successful way that, under your leadership, The Gambia has been able to make tremendous efforts on the way to a prosperous country, like telecommunication, highway constructions and the modern efficient airport, but also on your progress in the area of medical treatments, education and the establishment of a real democratic society.

Until the appointment of a new Consul in Berlin, capital of Germany, I feel myself duty bound to support The Gambia in various public matters, such as the presentation at the International Touristic Fair, accomodation for your honourable persons during their visits to German government authorities.  This I consider as my contribution to the further successful development of The Gambia, your country.

The rebirth of a nation
H.E Professor Sheikh, I wish to congratulate you on the July 22nd Revolution.  On a bright rainy Friday morning, when the sky released its mighty thunder and lightning, when the keen farmers were still at their farms, when the tireless women were cultivating at their garden; when the Gambians were busy again in thought of a usual draught season.

The only hope was for a young captain who would quickly land this sinking ship, 'The Gambia' to a safe shore and behold a young lieutenant was full of thought together with few friends. They struck at the right hour, it was that faithful Friday, the July 22nd 1994, the rebirth as a second republic.

The second face for the nation began to take shape and all have seen what changes lies ahead.

I write and pray that this letter finds you and your family in peace and blessing of the 15th Anniversary of the 22 July. I wish  to thank you for your truly wonderful work and leadership to this country - the Gambia. It is amazing, how you are still doing such a great job; helping Gambia and others with remarkable things and made many positive contributions around the country already.

The people of the Republic of The Gambia really appreciate your huge warm heart and all the tremendous work you have been doing for the country all these years. Your Excellency, your hospitality is a pleasure and I personally want to thank you again for changing the status of The Gambia nationally and internationally since the transition.

And I know nothing gladdens the heart of a leader of a nation more than the fact that his government is enjoying a wider and wider popularity from year to year. This is how you and your government are and at the same time work with a mission of maintaining progress in all spheres of development through hard work. I am aware that the public opinion through the good grace of your governance is sharply in favour of your policies.

I have to tell you how much I admire you. Your work for Gambia unity, your achievements, your altruism and your concern for others all are but uncommon. I am very proud that you continue to show how a leader brings his people together and solves problems they are facing to advance a nation. You are a real light to many of us if not all Gambia.

Your Excellency, you are a remarkable President who after having assumed the mantle of power stood for social justice and fairness often, throughout a hard and difficult time. The Gambia knows it has a great leader who is revered by people of all dimensions and origins. You are an inspiration, a man of extraordinary generosity, dignity and courage. You have typified this in your tenure to date and you never wavered; never flinched in the struggle for what you believe and thought is and was good and right for the country. In doing this, you never lost faith in your spirit and its ultimate capacity to do good.

You are always in my thoughts and prayers with profound respect and great admiration because of the nature of a person you are. There is and shall be such an outpouring of good feelings for you always because of what people could see and sense in you - Mr President. You are a man of true and profound heroism, shining example of what a teacher and a courageous leader should mean.

In history, you will and shall be a hero for ages because you stood for us at a time when the future of The Gambia was deeply bleak.

Therefore:
The Gambia likes you;
It loves you;
You are seen as the best President;

You are the people's President;
You intrigued us all;
And that is how it will remain and stay-Insha Allah;
In 1994, you stated to build a nation;
You built infrastructure;

You give free education to girl child;
You give free health care to all;
You establish operation feed your self (go back to the land)
You formulate operation clean the environment;
You give access to transportation to all the school in The Gambia;

You provide electricity
You provide street light
You provide rural electricity
You improve our national television to the world.
