Four prosecution witnesses,on Tuesday testified before the Special Criminal Court Presided over by Justice Moses Richards, in the on going murder case involving one Bakary Daffeh, accused of killing his sister, Kumba Daffeh in Bundung on the 29th of June 2009.

Four of the prosecution witnesses, Yorro Saidy, Fatou Daffeh, Alieu Faye and Mam KumbaSecka told the court that the incident happened in Bundung in their family compound. They explained that Bakary Daffeh had earlier on requested that he be given a share in the compound of their grandmother and had been infuriated when his request was rejected by his grandmother.

It was also stated that when people entered Kumba's room to see what had happened, they found her clutching her stomach and sobbing. When asked  what was wrong, the witnesses narrated, Kumba replied that Bakary had stabbed her with an iron rod and then run away.

The witnesses told the court that the victim was then rushed to the Jammeh Foundation Hospital by her mother and sister, Fatou Daffeh, from where she was later taken to the RVTH, where she died two days later.

It was also revealed that Bakary himself later went to report to the police, who arrested him.
