The National Patriotic Students Association (NAPSA) in its quest to inculcate patriotism and leadership skills into the minds of the young people, last Saturday, held a-day leadership training for 32 NAPSA members from 16 different schools at the KMC chambers.

The initiative aims at training   the students about the qualities of a leader and how to be a responsible person when given the mantle of leadership in feature. Modou Sowe, the president of NAPSA described the training as timely, adding that its is necessary for future leaders to be trained  leadership qualities. He urged his colleagues to take the training seriously and to disseminate the information, adding that the training will go a long way in making the participants responsible future leaders.

For his part, Pa Malick Ceesay, executive secretary of the National Youth Council, urged the participants to make best use of the training, describing it as important. He urged them to train others who are unfortunate to attain the training. He assured them of NYC's  collaboration with NAPSA.

Hon. Seedy Njie, the youth representative and cordinator of NAPSA, described the training as timely. According to him, training young people on leadership qualities will go a long way in improving their leadership skills as they are the future leaders. He thanked the trainers from South Africa for training his members and implored on the participants to disseminate the information.
