NBR Agric director says seed distribution ‘transparent’![]() Wednesday, July 18, 2012 The director of the Regional Agricultural Directorate in North Bank Region has stated that the seed distribution exercise in the region is ‘transparent and open’, while commending the government and partners for their timely intervention. Dr. Saikou Sanyang was speaking to this reporter during an interview at his office in Kerewan. He commended the government, the Gambia Rice Project (GRP), West Africa Agricultural Production Project (WAAPP), and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), for providing seed to farmers on time. The Regional Agricultural Directorate boss then hailed the local authorities for their efforts in ensuring fairness and transparency in the distribution exercise. He disclosed that all the villages received seed from the government and partners such as the NGOs, FAO, Gambia Rice Project, and West Africa Agriculture Production Project.
