Monday, April 06, 2009
Loek Struck, a dutch philanthropist, yesterday donated band instruments worth D5M to the Gambia Police Force (GPF) at a presentation ceremony held at the police headquarters in Banjul.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Ensa Badjie, Inspector General of Police, thanked the Dutch philanthropist for the benevolent gesture.  He expressed delight when receiving the materials. IGP Badjie also urged the police band members to take good care of the donated materials. For his part, Loek Struck, the donor, expressed delight in presenting the materials to the police force. He commended the Gambia Police Force for their hard work and promised to continue supporting them.

Pa Omar Bojang, coordinator of St. Georges Guild in Denmark, who is also a friend to the Dutch philanthropist, described Loek Struck as a true friend of The Gambia. He recalled that the Dutch philanthropist had earlier donated scout instruments to  the Gambia Scout Association. The presentation was attended by senior police officers.
