New Sports Policy set to be validated![]() Wednesday, April 28, 2010 The new draft National Sports Policy [2009 - 2018] and programme of action will be validated in a one-day gathering to be held today [Wednesday] at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, a press statement issued by the National Sports Council has revealed. The validation exercise, which will be presided over by the minister of Youth and Sports Mr Sheriff Gomez, is a sequel to the National Sports Conference held in July 2009. The day-long exercise is meant to establish whether the comments and suggestions made during the 2009 conference have been captured in the new policy by the consultant Sahel Investment. The draft document would also be open to alteration of inclusion of new ideas before a final draft is finalised and officially presented to the Youth and Sports superemo Mr Gomez for the implementation exercise.
