Njogu Demba smiling again

Africa » Gambia
Tuesday, April 28, 2009
After scoring his second goal for OB Odense in their midweek 5-0 thumping of Vejle, Gambian striker, Njogu Demba, who was the subject of much criticism throughout his career in Brann, is smiling again.

In an interview with the Bergen press on Saturday, the 29-year-old Gambian who joined the Danish outfit during the January transfer window believed his move to Fiona Park was a positive one for him.

According to the lanky striker, there were some people in the Norway club that didn't want him to be there and therefore single-handedly picked him out for criticism. "For me it has been good to get a team like Odense, which have a lot of success. And am lucky to play for the team when they are in a good run, individually we also have some good players in the team. "After a thought (sic) time in Brann, it has been good for me to come to a team in good times" Njogu Demba admits to BA. "This proves that it was not me that was the problem in Brann but rather some people who didn't want me in the club" Njogu said.
