Observer deputy editor-in-chief off to Burkina Faso

Africa » Gambia
Thursday, June 04, 2009

One of the deputy editors-in-chief of the Daily Observer who doubles as marketing manager of the Observer Company, Lamin M Dibba, last Tuesday, June 3rd, left Banjul for Ouagadogou in Burkina Faso, to attend the EcoBank Annual General Meeting, to be held on the 5th of June, 2009.

Speaking to this reporter shortly before his departure, Dibba thanked the management and staff of EcoBank for the invitation as well as the sponsorship of his trip. He recalled that this is not the first time that the bank has offered him such a gesture. "I was sponsored to attend the launch of the share service center as well as to attend their annual general meeting in Ghana, last year," he stated.

He said that this will accord him the opportunity to have an insight of the bank's marketing strategy, "which will be very beneficial to me as a marketing manager, as it will broaden my horizon on marketing, hence maximize efficiency in my service delivery at the Observer Company."

Dibba finally thanked the management of the Observer Company particularly the managing director and editor-in-chief for giving him the support, enabling him to attend this important forum. He also prayed to the "Almighty Allah, the creator and sustainer of the universe, for the cooperation between EcoBank and the Observer Company to grow from strength to strength as well as the pride and joy that the staff of the two institutions share.
