ONBE FC launched in URR

Sotokoto Football Club of Basse has been renamed ONBE FC, which means ‘Operation No Back way to Europe’. ONBE’s ultimate aim is to complement government’s efforts in discouraging and eliminating travellingto Europe through the back way.


Addressing hundreds of footballers and supporters, the national chairman of ONBE, Bubacarr Jabbi commended theteam for naming their team after ONBE. He urged the team to live up to expectation, and to always ensure that they go with discipline, while reaffirming his commitment in supporting the team.


Musa Sey, the PRO of ONBE and an adviser to the team said they renamed the team because they want to contribute in moulding the youths to become future leaders of tomorrow.
