He also called on foreign nationals in the country to always ensure that they respect the laws of the country at all times.”If they cannot honour our laws then let them stay in their countries,” he said.

Gassama also urged all Gambians to support the initiative, while equally calling on hotel security officers to always report criminal matters which may occur at their places to the police.
He continued: ”I am calling on all the security units to unite and fight the bad forces in the country. If you don’t do bad things, there is no problem with you, but if you are found trying to destablise the country’s security, the wrath of the law will be applied on you to the letter.”
On his part, Pertti Kuokkanen, also commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and his officers for their stance in ensuring that peace is maintained in the country.
