The Gambia's top mbalax superstar, Pa Omar Jack, popularly called 'fish and chips' was last Thursday attacked and robbed off his belonging by a gang of four boys alleged to be thieves, when he was heading home at London Corner around 2.00am.

According to ASP Landing Bojang, police officer-in-command, Kanifing Division, the mbalax king was approached by the four boys who assaulted and threatened him before they robbed him of his valuable items. He said the items stolen from Jack included two wrist watches (gold and silver), one bangle, two mobile phones and a torchlight.

Bojang revealed that three of the four culprits were apprehended while the fourth one, who is the prime suspect, is still at large. He said that the three under police net are: Modou Mbenga, Ousman Sanyang, and Cherno Jallow.

ASP Landing Bojang said the three arrested culprits were identified and confirmed by Pa Omar Jack to be his attackers. The trio are currently under detention at the Tallinding Police Station.
