Anthony Michael Dobson, a man who had been standing trial before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates Court, has been convicted and sentenced to one year imprisonment.

In his judgment on March 19, 2009, Magistrate Jammeh described the complainant as a compulsive liar with a deceptive appearance. Magistrate Jammeh said Dobson's act of taking photographs of a naked female particularly a child was an affront to the customs of the land.

Based on the sentence, Dobson has 5 months to serve, as he has already spent 7 months in detention. The magistrate further said the court would not order the deportation of Dobson after completing the jail term on the grounds that he has some investments in the country.
