africa » gambia
Monday, March 23, 2009
Karmic Angels, an international charitable organisation registered in the Gambia by a British couple, Stephanie and Alan Turner, accompanied by members of their board of trustees last Thursday, visited the paramount chief of the Gambia, Alhaji Demba Sanyang.

During the visit, the couple explained to Paramount Chief Sanyang their mission in the country. They also informed him of the various projects they are running in the country in the education, agriculture and health sectors. They also hailed the Gambian people for their hospitality. Paramount Chief Demba Sanyang, in return, said the ambition of the Gambia government, under the leadership of President Jammeh is to move towards Vision 2020.

Paramount Chief Sanyang made it clear that their mission is in line with the efforts to support girl education. He assured them of his support. Fabakary Manneh, councillor, Lamin Ward, saluted Karmic's Angels for their assistance to the Mandinaring Nursery School. He described water and electricity as the biggest constraints of the ward.

Pa Louis Gomez, a trustee of Karmic Angels, saluted the Daily Observer newspaper for the support in relaying their various activities to the people.
