Couple 1446 Kebba Manneh, personnel of The Gambia police Force (GPF), yesterday morning, sustained a fracture on his right arm and leg, in a car accident, along the Bertil Harding highway, around GNOC office, on the Coastal Road, Daily Observer can reveal.

When contacted to shed light on the issue, ASP Sulayman Secka, public relations officer of The Gambia police force confirmed the story. According to him, Couple Manneh had an accident while escorting the World Bank officials from Sheraton Hotel to Banjul. "While escorting the World Bank officials, to Banjul, some vehicles were coming from Banjul.

He (Couple Manneh) signalled the vehicles to leave the road,  the first vehicle left the road but the one next to that, a private vehicle, Mitshubishi Lancer with registration number BJL 1462 D, driven by one Modou Kah of No. 15 Ingram Street, Banjul, over took the first vehicle and suddenly hit the police escort", PRO Secka explained.

The police spokesperson added that Couple Manneh is currently admitted at the country's main referral hospital, the Royal Victorial Teaching Hospital in Banjul, while Modou Kah is helping the police in their investigations.
