Monday, July 06, 2009
Corporal 1877 Bah of the Crime Records Office at the Police Headquarters in Banjul last Friday, July 3, informed the court that he took part in the post mortem examination conducted by one Dr Abdoulie Alieu Ceesay on the corpse of one Dimingo Injam.

Corporal Bah made this revelation whilst giving evidence before Justice Joesph Wowo of the High Court in Banjul in the criminal case involving the State and Ismaila Secka, who is standing trial on a murder charge. It is alleged that the accused, on July 9, 2007, at Old Jeshwang in the Kanifing Muncipality stabbed the said Dimingo Injam, which resulted to his death. Corporal Bah informed the court that he took the photographs of the corpse from different angles.

The photographs and negative were tendered by the prosecution, led by the principal state counsel, Shanaka Wiyesinghe, and they were admitted in evidence and marked as exhibits by the presiding judge, who adjourned the matter to July 28, 2009.
