Prince Malachi to visit Gambia

A world renowned musician from London in the United Kingdom, is set to visit the Smiling Coast of Africa from the 19th June -3rd July, during which he is expected to stage cloudburst stage performances in a number of entertainment spots in the country, if reports reaching What’s On is anything to go by.


Prince Malachi, as internationally known, during his visit is expected to perform on 22nd June at Teranga Beach, 23rd Alliance Franco along Kairaba Beach Hotel and wrap-up his concerts on June 30th at Jokor Monument. Born Mark Wynter in London and surrounded by musical talent, he learned how to play drums at the age of 7.By the age of 11 he was performing live with his father Winston Wynter, an accomplished R&B, Jazz and Latin guitarist from Jamaica who has played alongside Rico Rodriguez, Fela Kuti & many more.


Prince Malachi has performed with many artists worldwide including Beres Hammond, Shabba Ranks, Naughty by Nature, Frankie Paul, Femi Kuti, Marcia Griffiths, Mark Morrisson, Little Roy, Lauryn Hill, Mr Vegas, Luciano, Josey Wales, Horace Andy and Sizzla to name but a few. As an accomplished musician and producer, Prince Malachi's credits include Fred Locks, Luciano, Willie Williams, Michael Prophet, Sizzla, Morgan Heritage, Anthony B, Lutan Fyah, Capleton, Jah Mali, Jah Mason & many more.


Toured extensively with Sizzla Kalonji as part of X terminator Records .Under the guidance of Phillip 'Fatis' Burrell, Malachi relocated to JA in the late 90's where he worked as an artist, musician and engineer for X terminator and also Beres Hammond's 'Harmony House' label.


Malachi's self-produced album 'JAH LIGHT' was released in February 1999 on RAS RECORDS. Currently now on his 5th studio album, building a steady following worldwide and cementing his reputation as reggae’s new roots messenger.
