Proud to be Gambian

Editor,

As Gambia joins the rest of the world in observing Workers' Day, please allow me space to send my appreciation and well wishes to all Gambians for the success registered under our able leader, Prof. Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh.

The Gambia has registered great achievement and is developing fast, making most of us away proud to be Gambians. A lot has been done but a lot is yet to be done; as our president always says: "When I look at my people, I think I have done nothing yet". It is therefore a collective responsibility to work together day and night to make our nation the best in the sub-region.

Gambia is for us and its development lies in our hands. The more we realize this the better we work together. I therefore wish all NGO's, and friends of The Gambia who are also working hard to supplement government's efforts. May God continue to guide and protect our president to lead us to a higher level of his wish. Wish you all good health and to overcome the challenges ahead.
