Re: Gambia gives US$700,000 to TaiwanWednesday, September 02, 2009 Editor, I wish to express how much I am impressed by President Jammeh's donation of US$700,000 to the government of Taiwan as Gambia's contribution to the compensation of the recent disaster victims in that country. It is remarkable to see that The Gambia, even though in the third world domain, has the heart to give and not to be a receiver all the time. This further manifest that if we have more, we shall help more, for 'he who gives penny shall of course give pound'. The Gambia shall and will always continue to be role model for all the third world countries, and even for some so called developed countries in showing goodwill gestures. God bless motherland.
