Editor;

I read online, with excitement, in your Tuesday, September 15, 2009 edition, anarticle as captioned above. I would like to thank you for keeping people updated with current events back home.  This event, to be held  in 2010, much like the AU Summit, would be another significant accolade that Gambia can add to its repertoire as the jewel of Africa.

It is my hope that the Gambia Tourism Authority will take advantage of this opportunity to facilitate direct air travel to and from the USA. With the great job government has done in infrastructure development, direct air travel would greatly complement such efforts. Therefore, keep up the great work, Daily Observer.
