Re-GRTS goes on satellite

Editor,

This a very joyous moment for every Gambian especially those in the diaspora. Having the opportunity to view our national television is indeed a great success for not only GRTS, but the entire nation. I can remember when I was in Turkey, living with some Ghanians. I used to be mocked at by them when ever we talked about our countries. They told  me all sorts of foul words like 'shut your mouth up your country doesn't even have a TV station'. I would become sad knowing that it was the reality.

My advice to fellow  Gambians is, let us take our properties as our own and take good care of them so that our children after us can benefit from them. But if we take it as they common say, MANSALAFENG, what will our children find after us? So please let us use goverment property with seriousness.

For instance, China, during the cultural revolution, was using bicyles as means of transport, but today everyone knows that  China has the fastest growing econony. Let us also give our children hope and future; if we do not, they will suffer. I pray for Almighty Allah to give us heart to love our country both day and night.
