Referee attack case reaches courtFriday, September 11, 2009
One Ousman Gaye, on Wednesday appeared before Magistrate BO Jobe of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, charged with assault.
According to the particulars of the offense, the accused, on the 5th of August 2009, at the Cocktail football field in Bakau, assaulted one Modou Njie, a referee, by throwing a stone at his forehead, thus causing him serious injuries. He pleaded guilty and was given bail in the sum of D3,000 with a Gambian surety. The case was adjourned to 23rd September 2009 for judgement. Author: by Fatou Sowe
