Robber ordered to file application formallyMonday, July 06, 2009 Justice Joseph Wowo of the high court in Banjul has ordered one Zac Gabba, to formally file his application for amendment of his grounds of appeal. Zac Gabba, a robbery convict was sentenced by the Kanifing Magistrates Court on three counts of robbery. A senior lawyer, Sidney Riley, who represented the accused, informed the court that he wished to abandon the grounds of appeal filed on 17 April 2009, and wished to argue the additional grounds of appeal. In her reply, State Counsel Merley Wood informed the court that she would appreciate it if the appellant filed his application formally; then she would study it and see whether she would oppose it.
