Gambian premier league club Samger FC has sent a stern warning to what it called bad people and clubs whose intentions are to destabilise the team. These were the words of its head coach Jane Joof in his fight to keep hold of its key players ahead of the next first division season.

Following the unceremonious departure of top striker Buba Jallow to Real de Banjul, most of Samger’s key players including Lamin Sarjo Samateh, Pa Sulayman Badjie and Ebrima Jaiteh were all linked with big money transfers away from the Cherno Samba Academy outfit all season but the trio did stayed on until the end of the season.

In his first official reaction to the persistent rumours, Jane Joof told Observer Sports in an email that it has come to the notice of the club that “some unscrupulous clubs and people are following our players without passing through the right procedure which is unacceptable.

“Samger therefore warns clubs and individuals involved in this malpractice to put a  stop and know that no more fraudulent or scandalous transfer of our players will happen again as in those talked about ones recently which were cooked. Our players are lawfully contracted and it’s therefore humanly for clubs to approach us positively for possible interest in them” he said hinting Jallow’s controversial switch to the eventual league champions.

Jane Joof who further revealed that they have evidences of other clubs who bribed Samger players and their parents in the past and are on the verge of exposing it advised clubs follow the footsteps of Samger’s model by recruiting players at younger ages.

He said Samger’s doors are open for any possible player issue transfer depending on the interested party using the respectable ways likewise respecting the players club who spent lot of time and resources in building for many years. Samger football club is not a working tool for such type of heartless clubs and individuals in sheep clothing and that monkey work baboon eat work days are all over and we again emphasise the word over”.

“We should be respected as a club with a high level of discipline and also as a club with a difference of making the good despite being young in Gambian football history but too with a strong mentality in administration and developmental process since our existence nine years ago.

“In this regard, we therefore solicit the support of the general public especially fellow clubs rather than the campaign of destabilising and sabotaging our long term plans and pride to national development” he concluded.
