Scottish school donates to Sukuta UBSThursday, April 12, 2012 Scottish Boness Academy in Scotland, recently donated 4,000
Pound Sterling to Sukuta Upper Basic School at a presentation ceremony held at
the school ground. The initiative came through the outgoing principal of Sukuta Upper Basic School, Alhaji Sarja Sanneh, who worked extremely well to link Sukuta and the Scottish Boness Academy. In her welcome remarks, Haddy E. Sosseh-Saidy, the new principal of the School expressed delight and commended the donors for the gesture. She assured that the donated items would be put into good use. The head of the visiting school, Catriona, disclosed that the Scottish Boness Academy in Scotland involve themselves, among other things, in a series of sporting activities like marathon. She disclosed that the donation to Sukuta Upper Basic School is meant to facilitate the construction of a boys’ toilet facility, as well aswaterfor the school. She promised to give another 2,000 Pound Sterlings when she returnssome time in April this year. For his part, the chairperson of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), Abdoulie A. Bojang, on behalf of the PTA and students of Sukuta Upper Basic thanked the donors for their untiring efforts and reiterated that the items donated would be put into good use.
