Scottish side Hibernian hand trial to Gambian defender Pa Saikou Kujabi

Friday, January 27, 2012
Scottish premier league side Hibernian Thursday handed a trial to Gambian international defender Pa Saikou Kujabi. The 25-year-old is currently training at the club's £5m East Mains facility at Ormiston, Tranent. Kujabi is a free agent after leaving FSV Frankfurt in Germany. The full back had trials with Portsmouth and QPR in the summer but failed to land a deal. He now has a chance of landing a contract at Easter Road, should he impress Hibees boss Pat Fenlon.

5ft 8 in Kujabi started his career with Banjul Hawks in his homeland, playing 33 games and scoring five goals. He then moved on to Austria with Grazer AK, playing over 70 games for the club. With his next move he stayed in Austria, this time with SV Reid, playing 50+ games and scoring three goals. His last club was Frankfurt, he played 30 times and scored three goals, whilst with the German side. He has also been capped 10 times for Gambia at international level.
