The president of the Republic of Senegal, His Excellency Maitre Abdoulaye Wade accompanied by a high-powered delegation will arrive Banjul today at 5.30 pm on the invitation of the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh on the occasion of the Gambia's 45th Independence Anniversary celebrations, a dispatch from the Office of the President revealed.

In a similar vein, the dispatch further indicated that the president of the Republic of Guinea, His Excellency General Saikouba Konateh accompanied by a high-ranking delegation is also expected in Banjul.

Both leaders will be in Banjul as special guests for this years Independence celebrations tomorrow.
